Russell is one of the founders of Chapel St, the chair of the Chapel St Community Fund and a trustee of the Chapel St Community Schools Trust. He is passionate about the power of relationships to transform lives and communities. This vision and belief is at the heart Chapel St’s mission and ethos, informing our work in education and wellbeing and fuelling our partnerships with churches, faith groups and community organisations. Russell previously worked with The Salvation Army where he oversaw the organisations work among young people in the U.K. And Ireland. He travels widely, speaking and writing on issues of public policy, faith and community and has recently co-authored, “For Good,” a report on the role of the church and the future of the welfare state. In his professional life, Russell currently works as a consultant helping senior leaders in politics, faith, business and charity, to work more effectively together.
